Being Salt & Light

What do you think it’s like to be the only two publicly-declared Christians living in a city in Iran that is the education center for Shiite Muslim clerics?

You are invited to hear David and Linda Kusse-Wolfe, recorded Friends ministers from Wichita, Kansas, share their story about feeling led to live and study in the holy city of Qom, Iran. Friends World Committee for Consultation Section of the Americas is holding three events on the theme “Being Salt and Light: Friends living the kingdom of God in a broken world.”

Friday, October 7, in Urbana, Illinois; 6 p.m.
Saturday, October 8, in Kokomo, Indiana; noon
Sunday, October 9, in South Bend, Indiana; 10:30 a.m.

David and Linda will relate their experiences to current issues of “brokenness” that Friends face in our own communities. We hope all will take away something that is relevant both practically and spiritually to our lives today.

*Special Note from John Norris: You may remember when Clifford Wolfe was pastor of Wabash Friends Church. David Wolfe is his son, and David worked at Quaker Haven. I’ve heard David and Linda are most interesting and talk about their experiences in Iran. I hope some Amboy folks can go to Kokomo for the Saturday afternoon program on October 8.
