Haiti Mission Team

Amboy Friends is sending a mission team to Haiti July 21-28, 2012. The team will be working with World Gospel Mission’s Adopt a Home in Haiti program. The team’s main ministry will be helping to build a home for an employee of Radio Lumière, a network of nine Christian radio stations that covers more than 90 percent of Haiti with Christian broadcasting.

A 7.0-magnitude earthquake shook the capital city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on January 12, 2010, killing 230,000 people and leaving more than 1 million homeless. Despite the earthquake, Radio Lumière continued broadcasting, offering a beacon of light and providing hope through the love of Christ. A few staff members lost their lives in the earthquake while many lost their homes.

November – Little Caesars Pizza Kits
Sunday, January 15 – Monthly Meeting Meal (baked potato bar & chili)
Sunday, February 5 – Donut Sunday
March – Tenderloin Dinner
Sunday, April 15 – Monthly Meeting Meal (chicken and noodles by Donna Overman)
June – Church rummage (??)
Sweater/Sock Animals – Mary Brown has offered to make sweater/sock animals for our team to sell at our events. Give Mary any of your extra socks, sweaters, and pillows (used for stuffing) to help out with this cause.
