Amboy Friends Monthly Meeting met February 19, 2012, following a carry-in dinner. There were 19 members present.
Clerk Michael Reynolds opened the meeting for business with a devotion based on Ephesians 1:11-12. In Him we were chosen. We may feel we don’t fit in with those around us at work, school, or even church, but we are always included with God.
The January meeting minutes and treasurer’s report were presented and approved.
Pastor Dwight Elliott present his report, and it was approved. He noted that he will be attending a conference in Houston, Texas, February 26-29. While our Hunger Care ministry continues to be successful locally, he would like to encourage us to minister to our member, Mark Lamb, who lives in a group home in Connersville. Mark would enjoy receiving cards and letters.
The Mission Committee’s treasurer’s report was presented and approved.
Karen Hunt presented the year-end Sunday School treasurer’s report, and it was approved.
The 2012 proposed budget was presented by Stewardship and Finance. After some discussion, it was approved.
New Business
Ministry & Oversight presented the two models for Yearly Meetings that could be formed.
Our next meeting will be March 18, 2012, following a noon carry-in meal.
The meeting was dismissed with prayer.

- A Yearly Meeting that exists for support and guidance (free thinking and acceptance of all).
- A more structured and authority figure that follows Faith and Practice.
